Sweden
Sweden is a long, narrow country reaching deep inside the Arctic Circle. The majority of Swedes live in urban areas but it is nature that gives the country a special interest. Sarek National Park in western Lapland, Europe's largest national park, is an alpine region of rocky massifs, narrow gorges, glaciers and fast-flowing rivers. It features some 200 mountain peaks and over 100 glaciers. The RapaƤtno River in the famous Rapadalen Valley is fed by water from over 30 glaciers.
