Restaurant “Ida Basar” celebrates an anniversary of twenty years. This year it was renewed
and opened the door as the Restaurant – Museum.
Ida Basar is the first and the only one Restaurant – Museum in the Baltic States which besides presenting by the time forgotten culinary heritage invites to enjoy more than 6000 exhibits of antique silverware, flatware, porcelain, ceramics and coopers collections of outstanding manufactures: Meisson, Rozenthal, KPM, Villeroy & Boch, Kuznecov. The main part of exposition – introduces the exhibits of XIX – XX centuries. Restaurant – Museum housed in eight cozy classical style halls, decorated with different ages antique furniture, paintings and exclusive details.
Distinct group of the exposition – Royal topical objects – Vytautas the Great sculpture of distinguish sculptor Vincas Grybas, the stuff reminding official visits of Royal families such as the visit to the Republic of Lithuania of the England Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, Japan emperor Akihito, Sweden Queen Silvia. Ida Basar 2005 – 2008 served the President Palace of the Republic of Lithuania.
